The eventful life of theoretical physicist Elsie Hannaway has finally caught up with her. By day, she diligently works as an adjunct professor, grading labs and teaching thermodynamics, hoping to secure a tenured position. However, in her off-hours, Elsie takes on a unique role as a fake girlfriend, utilizing her finely-tuned people-pleasing abilities to become the perfect partner for her clients.
This unconventional gig seems to be going well until Elsie’s carefully constructed world starts to crumble. Enter Jack Smith, the older brother of one of her favorite clients.
